Working on some new material for our show on Friday, March 27 @ Banks St. Bar, New Orleans, LA
Here’s a brand new single. It mixes Sisqo’s vocals from “Thong Song” with elements of Calvin Harris and Drew Meez original compositions.
Surprise P.Y.M.P. pop-up show @ Tipitina’s Saturday, October 4! In their highly-anticipated return to New Orleans, the duo debut some of their fresh new material, featuring collaborations with Lucas Wiley, as well as some of the old classics that made them a torchbearer in their genre. Get you tickets online for $7 or at the door for $10. This will surely be a night to remember!!
We are very pleased to announce that we will be returning to Banks St. Bar in Mid-City, New Orleans on Saturday Oct 18. Our main man Lucas Wylie will be on the 1’s & 2’s for set-break. We are working on a new single to be released before the show. Stay tuned here on our website and on our Facebook and Soundcloud pages for updates.
Great show at Banks two weekends ago followed by a dynamite weekend with Gravity A in Utica, MS playing at Jacob’s Camp. Now it’s time to get back on the hustle: got some new P.Y.M.P. tracks in the works, some Gravity A / Talking Heads tribute shows coming up, and a whole lot of shedding to do. Catch us on Friday, August 29 at Tipitina’s with Gravity A ‘s Talking Heads tribute featuring Cliff Hines and an additional set of all-original music. Here’s a snipet of us in Denver recorded by our good friend Lucas Gibson AKA Lucas Wylie:
We just dropped a brand new single for y’all on our SoundCloud page. Enjoy!
The April 30 show at Maison Frenchman is in support of EOTO — Michael and Jason of The String Cheese Incident. We have played with these dudes many times, mostly as Gravity A. Lookin forward to sharing a stage once again!
The May 5 show at Bamboula’s in New Orleans is with our big-dog gamblin’ brothers from Groovesect. Our own Drew Meez on the Keys will be joining them along with Khris Royal on sax and their founding guitar player, Mr. Danny Abel of Gravity A. Dare I say…showtime?!?
The May16 show at Banks St. Bar is just P.Y.M.P., two stupid phat sets. If you’ve never seen P.Y.M.P. at Banks St. Bar, it is of your best interest to do so. Banks has recently updated their sound system and added a nice, beastly sub to their setup. It’s a Mid-City party up in that jernt with plenty of good folk; come meet a friend you haven’t met yet!
Check out our Bandcamp site to stream or download our latest mix tape, “P.Y.M.P.: The Mixtape Vol. I.”
It’s “pay-what-you-want,” but feel free to enter “$0” if you so choose in the amount field to download for free. Or simply stream the whole album or any individual song free of charge!
The Mixtape, Vol. I combines live studio recording with at-home sequencing and producing, widely recognizable vocal samples with original vocal tracking, accessible beats and melodies with unusual, out-of-the-box motifs. We are proud of this endeavor, so please have a listen!
We are finished the Gravity A album and working on the finishing touches of PYMP’s first release. We will be at Banks Street Bar Friday 10/11/13. Thanks for listening.
